The photo of these four great YankeesYogi Berra, Reggie Jackson, Bernie Williams, and Paul O’Neill, was taken at the Yogi Berra Museum and Education Center. During the most significant New York City baseball era from 1947 to 1957, when the Yankees won an unprecedente five consecutive World Series from 1949-1953, future Hall-of-Famer, Yogi Berra, was their star catcher. And Yogi won the Most Valuable Player award three times. He also managed and then coached the team after retirement as a player. His # 8 is among other Yankees greats retired in Monument Park.
The stellar contributions of fan favorites Bernie Williams and Paul O’Neill anchored the outfield in the Yankees’ dynasty in the 1996, ’98, ‘99 and 2000 championship years. Paul O’Neill’s number 21 will be retired in Yankee Stadium’s Monument Park this year on August 21. Bernie’s number has already entered Monument Park.
